目的:帮助孩子增强阅读理解英文经典原著能力、信心和乐趣。

日期:连续5天短期课(4月5日、6日、7日、8日和9日),5次课学费£50。

上课时间:9:00am-10:00am

课程简介:

在5天时间里,老师将指导阅读适合本班年龄段的荷马《奥德赛》英文版五章内容,这是一个扣人心弦的故事,其中包括一些复杂的语言,通过老师的讲解提高学生的阅读理解能力。课堂上除了阅读意外,还将学习了解古希腊的历史和神话。

Lead to Read Classes (Easter Holiday)


Purpose:
This course will help students to gain confidence in reading.


Dates: Easter Holiday 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th April

Time: 9-10am

Fees: £50 for 5 classes

About the class:
Over the week we will read five chapters of an English language version of Homer’s Odyssey appropriate to this age group. This is an exciting story which includes some challenging language to improve the students’ reading skills. As well as reading the course, we will learn about ancient Greek history and mythology.

About the class:

This class will introduce the students to reading Shakespeare in the original language. Over the week we will read the entirety of Act I of Macbeth. We will focus on understanding the language, analysing why it is effective, learning about the historical context of Shakespeare, and writing answers to questions on the text.
